Ozone compatible materials

Close-up of cracks in nitrile-butadiene rubber made using an electron microscope.

Some of them are widely known and evaluated according to users' perceptions. All tests were carried out using very high ozone levels.

Description

AND

excellent

Ozo does not affect these materials. They will be long-lived.

B

Okay

Ozone has little effect on these materials. Long use in places with high ozone concentration will result in damage or corrosion causing the uselessness of plastics.

C

sufficient

Ozone will damage these materials within a few weeks. Long use in places with any ozone concentration will result in damage or corrosion causing the uselessness of plastics.

D

weak

Ozone will damage these materials within a few days or even a few hours. It is not recommended to use these materials in places with any ozone concentration.

Cracks image obtained by means of an electron microscope showing cracks in the diaphragm made of nitrile butadiene rubber under the influence of ozone. Please note that there are cracks in the pointed parts of the cover.
